Introduction:
The BSWA 308S and BSWA 309S implement a new fractional octave capability, surpassing the original BSWA 308/309 SLMs. The new types replace the dual-core (DSP+ARM) architecture with a single chip ARM with FPU. All previous fixed point calculations are now floating point, which significantly improves accuracy and stability. A redesigned analog front end circuit also lowers the instrument noise floor, while increasing the linear range.

The new BSWA 308 is a Class 1 SLM while the BSWA 309 is Class 2. Both instruments have been fully tested, and granted the China CPA (Certification of Pattern Approval) and CMC (China Metrology Certification).
